New Life offers a range of Christian education programs for children, teens and adults. We also operate Tree of Life Lutheran Preschool, which has served the Lake Zurich community for over ten years and is open to children who are age 3 or 4 by September 1st and are potty-trained. The 4 year-old class meets on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9:00-11:30 AM. The 3 year-old class meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00-11:30 AM. Our preschool is in operation from September through May. In addition to our traditional preschool program, we offers a full day, 5 days a week program with before and after school care, if needed, beginning in September.

Sunday School (Children Pre-K through 8th Grade)

Jesus said, "Let the little children come to Me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." (Matthew 19:14) Children are brought to Jesus as children are taught the truths of God's word.

God commands parents to do this proactive work. "Bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord." (Ephesians 6:4b) Sunday School works hand in hand to help parents carry out their responsibility to make disciples for Christ out of their children.

New Life Sunday School is for children who are old enough to be away from mom for an hour through 8th Grade. Sunday School begins at 10:45 AM and ends at 11:45 AM.

Since all of God's word is useful for teaching, New Life Sunday School teaches both -- Old and New Testament Bible stories on a rotating basis.

Bible Classes

We offer Christian "continuing education" for teens and adults throughout the year via a number of Bible classes:

Adult Bible class is a directed study of the Bible, one chapter at a time, for adults and teens. It meets from 10:45-11:45am every Sunday during the school year (September - May).
Men's Bible class is a directed, Bible-based study of various topics regarding day-to-day life as a Christian in our society. It currently meets on Fridays from 11:30 am - 12:30pm, but please check our Calendar of Events for specific dates/times.
During the summer months, we offer "Bible Class in the Basement", typically on wednesday eventings from 7:00-8:00pm. Come beat the heat and join us - and again, please check our Calendar of Events for specific dates/times.

Confirmation Class & Adult Instruction

Confirmation Class instructs youths in 7th & 8th grades in the basic tenets of Christianity, using the Bible and Luther's Small Catechism as source texts. The class meets throughout the school year (September - May), currently on Sunday evenings for 1 ½ hours. Please check our Calendar of Events for specific dates/times.

The Basic Bible Christianity or "Adult Instruction" class is a sort of Christianity 101. The class presents the basic teachings of the Christian faith. It provides an opportunity to discover from the Bible what Christianity is all about - both for those who have been raised as Christians and those who have had no contact with Christianity.

If you don't have a church home, have questions about Christianity, or are wondering what is taught at New Life - this class is for you. If you are a member of New Life you should consider this class as a great review of the Christian faith. The class offers 15 core lessons plus 10 optional lessons, and is available on a flexible schedule.

There is no cost an no obligation to attend either Adult Instruction or Confirmation Class - though each does serve as a membership class. Please contact Pastor Bauer for further details and to arrange class sessions.
