New Life Lutheran Church hosts or participates in a number of activities throughout the year. For a look at what's coming up, please see our News & Notices page and Calendar of Events.
Worship
At New Life, we worship every Sunday morning 9:80-10:30am. Communion services are held the second and fourth Sundays of each month. The service is followed by Fellowship (with coffee and light refreshments), held in the lower level.
Special mid-week worship services are held during Advent and Lent. Other special services include Thanksgiving Eve, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, Maundy Thursday and Easter Day. Please see our Calendar of Events for the current schedule.
Christian Education
During the school year (September-May), Sunday School, Teen Bible Class and Adult Bible Class are held on Sundays after Fellowship, from 10:45am-12:00pm. A mid-week Basic Christianity (a sort of Christianity 101) is also conducted.
For a list of classes and schedules, please see our Christian Education page.
For the Kids
Each summer (usually in early August), New Life hosts a week-long Vacation Bible School. Kids four years old (preschool) through eighth grade learn about Jesus with songs, activities, crafts and activities. [More Info ->]
Christmas for Kids and Easter for Kids are one day "Vacation Bible School" events hosted the week before Christmas and Easter, respectively. Kids four years old (preschool) through eighth grade learn about Jesus' birth, life and resurrection with songs, activities, crafts and activities.
Green Team is a Christ-centered program offered by New Life and available to kids in Kindergarten through Eighth Grade. Its mission is to "reach out to and nurture the youth of the world with the saving Gospel message of Jesus Christ." Activities that are fun and enriching are available to both boys and girls. Green Team normally meets the second and fourth Thursday of each month from 6:45PM to 8:15PM. [More ->].
There is no cost and no obligation for any of these activities.
Community
Members of the community are invited to join New Life Lutheran Church each Thanksgiving as we host a group of sailors from Great Lakes Naval Station for a Thanksgiving dinner, as well as an afternoon of fellowship and fun.
New Life participates in the Lake Zurich Chamber of Commerce Expo each spring. We often march in the Lake Zurich Alpine Days Parade as well.
Tree of Life Lutheran Preschool has a booth at the Lake Zurich and Barrington Preschool Fairs.
